Sleepers awaken it's a brand new day, sleepers awaken the sun is here to stay, sleepers awaken and realise yr dreams, sleepers awaken, awaken. Sleepers awaken & walk yr sacred walk, sleepers awaken & talk yr sacred talk, sleepers awaken to the power of the now, and sing this vision down. Sleepers awaken to the glory of the sun, sleepers awaken a new world has begun, sleepers awaken the futures looking bright, sleepers awaken let's dance into the light.

Bamiyan 05:07
I remember when the buddha's were standing, near the town of Bamiyan. High on the plateau of the Hindu kush, at the heart of Afghanistan. The nomads came by camel, the Kuchi nomads came by horse. From Kandahar and the deserts of the south. To the mountains in the north. Now me and my friend Bodhi, we had to wait for the melting snow. To see the jewel lakes of Bandi-emir, where the wolf and the wildcat roam. We had taken the road from Maser-i-sheriff, by mosque and minaret, to travel this Caravanseri, & i will not forget.

The wind the wind is blowing, over land and sea. The wind of change is blowing, blows thru you and me. The tides of change are turning, as the ocean calls us home. Feel the wheel of fortune spinning, in your heart & in your soul. Chit chit, Chit chit. Om Hari Om, Om Hari Om.

I am stone, old, cold, ground beneath your feet. I am silver, i am gold, earth that sleeps. I am crystal memory, and the opal fire. Set in earth dark & deep. I am the light of a star. And i'll shine my light on you, shine my light on you.

I'm looking for a simple life, a little home with my japanese wife, we don't have a family but i love her and she loves me. She loves me, she loves me true, i love her i love her too. We work all day in the paddy field, at night we sleep neath the cherry tree, The full moon shines her lantern light, upon the face of my japanese wife. And she loves me she loves me true, i love her i love her too. I'm looking for a simple life, a little home with my japanese wife, to ancestors we pray each day, that good fortune will come our way. And she loves me true, i love her i love her too.

Ego 04:38
Iv'e been travelling places lately in my soul, how many pieces are there of me till i am whole?. Your love like a hummingbird, straight to the heart. Then all too soon yr on your way, now we're apart. Is this for real, the way i feel, or am i a fool again. And either way no one's to blame, i'm not here to play it cool again. So let ego go, ego fall away. Iv'e been travelling places lately, in my dreams, watching illusion rise and fall, upon the screen. Your love like a hurricane, took me by surprise. Are you an angel or a devil, in disguise?. Is this for real the way i feel, or am i a fool again?. And either way no one's to blame, i'm not here to play it cool again. So let ego go, ego fall away. Om nama Shivaya, Shivaya, nama Om.

She's flying high tonight, lady starlight. She's wild and free, tripping through the galaxy. And it's round and round on the wheel she spins, to where were we begin. She's heaven sent, queen of the firmament, she wears a cloak of silver black, thrown across her back. And it's round and round on the wheel she spins, to where we begin. Fair as you are lady, of the stars. Selene, selene, selene. She's a moon goddess, moon goddess. Oh lady i love you so, maiden, mother, crone, i gaze into your eyes, and i am not alone. It's round and round on the wheel she spins, to where we begin. Fair as you are lady, of the stars. She's a moon goddess, moon goddess.

about

It is our delight to share this music with you! The ingredients have been gathered and ripened over decades,
sourced from deep nature, living culture, myth, magic,
and a sprinkling of imagination.

The songs are based around the drone instruments:- Shruti, Harmonium, Dilruba, Yidaki, Bass and hand drums and are impressions of landscapes inner and outer.

We recorded with maestro Bharti going for live takes in real time with a relaxed living room vibe, then polished it a tad in the studio. Bedouin and breakfast in fact!

It was great to have Arparna on this album, as always his presence lifts the tone whilst anchoring it in earthy drones, pulses and spirit breath.

The songs flow seamlessly from languid alaaps to hand drum driven grooves, from vivid lyric to chants. The title is 'tongue in cheek', though the influences respected, and we trust will touch your heart and spark a flame.
